ELFAN was founded by Fabienne Touma, an artist, cultural and artistic mediator, cultural manager, trainer, and cultural journalist.

After studying Art History, Performing Arts and Cultural Management at a school specializing in cultural professions, she gained several years of experience across theatre, dance, cinema, music and cultural institutions, working in production, tour management, artist development, communications and cultural mediation.

Alongside her professional career, she continues to develop her own artistic practice, particularly as a singer and painter. This dual experience, combining artistic expression with professional expertise, is central to her approach. It enables her to understand the realities, needs and challenges faced by artists, while also mastering the key aspects of cultural production, distribution and project development.

Convinced of the potential of the Lebanese art scene and committed to contributing to its development, she founded ELFAN, meaning “Art” in Lebanese. Envisioned as a platform open to all artistic disciplines, ELFAN aims to promote Lebanese artists, foster collaborations and create new opportunities.

Among her first initiatives is the development of the first directory of Lebanese artists across all artistic disciplines. across all artistic disciplines, designed to bring artists together in a single directory and enhance their visibility. Through ELFAN, Fabienne Touma aims to promote Lebanese art and culture on a wider scale, support artists in their professional development, train the next generation of cultural professionals, and make art accessible to the widest possible audience.
